    Courtesy

I wonder if people who violate rules of common courtesy in public feel shame. Is that why they won't meet my gaze? Case in point: two people on my (crowded) train in, with their precious carryon luggage in the seat next to them, studiously looking down as more and more rides board...

Been watching Gundam SEED (finally). All I can say for now: Flay is one messed-up girl. Damn. Don't like how the animation looks sometimes, but it's interesting to see the plot unfold.

    In re: RatingBuster
Ratingbuster is dead. Long live Ratingbuster.

I did note in the patch notes that Blizz was supposed to have included this functionality with a 'shift while mouseover' implementation--but this isn't working for me, is it working for anyone else?

    An Open Letter
... to those of you who think it's funny to poke me in the side and see me jerk around.  To those of you who think it's funny to see that happen to anyone else.

    STOP F**KING DOING IT.

As long as I can remember, I've been very sensitive to jabs--particularly in the sides--and I realize the reaction I make is probably a humorous.

But I fucking hate it.  I hate that it happens, I hate when it happens, and it makes me angry beyond belief.  There are people who will not stop even after being asked repeatedly, nicely.  It's an invasion of my personal space and I do not appreciate it.

The next time it happens, I am not going to be so nice.  I don't want to get anyone angry, or hurt anyone's feelings, but this has got to stop.

If you think it's funny when you're doing it to someone else, think again, please, and ask yourself if it's the kind of treatment you would want to have happen to you.

    New Toy~
Thanks to a bonus from work, I was able to pick up an ASUS EeePC 1005HA (with the '10.5 hr' battery).  Got it on Wednesday, been setting it up and playing around with it since then.  Haven't decided if I'm going to keep WinXP Home (tbh it's probably fine for what I'm going to do with the thing), up to Win7, or get even more daring and try out something like, say, Eeebuntu.

Having it is tempting me to try and sell off my MBP--I love the machine but it has heat problems, it's slow to boot and I don't really use it for much more than what I intend the Eee for.  OTOH, it needs cleaning and a touch of repair work (something's making the trackpad button stick), but those seem like minor things.  The major thing is that it has no battery (battery died a while ago, haven't had the inclination to find a replacement), that's a fair chunk of change there.

    Raid lockout

It looks as though the extended raid lockouts can be canceled-big plus there, since it doesn't mean locking yourself put for an additional week if you use it (presumably).

    Hey Pocky...

Just started playing Endless Frontier--was the original script as heavy on the boogie jokes?

    Anime Central...

...is over and done with. What a ride!

    Highlights include:
Seeing Nabeshin in person. That man is awesome and insane in the best ways.
move concert. Need I say more?
Meeting Ian and Jes McConville and Matt Boyd (Three Panel Soul) in a word, these guys are awesome. Totally sweet to hang out with, and the nicest ever. (Jes thinks I look like Dom, whom she was shocked to find out that I have seen with pants on.)
Taking Matt, Vic Mignogna, Caitlyn Glass, her best friend, Audra and Shadra to Lao Shanghai for Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). Simply a wonderful time.
Of course, meeting a bunch of new, awesomesauce staffers, like Raven (she's Korean.) and Ellen and many more too numerous to name.
    Super-long, super-busy, super-fun weekend.

    Re: Gluth
I'm willing to try to do this as arcane--and if it doesn't work out that way I'll 'port and respec Frost for an encounter. Doesn't matter much to me, in terms of money costs. (Ideally it works as Arcane; I do have access to Frostbolt on a 1.3s cast at Rank 1 and I do have Slow), but if needs be I'll respec full into Frost to get this done.

    Enchaaaaaaaaaants (again)
I'm in the (haha I wish) final stretch of enchanting--420->450. So here's what I will have available to me that is a skillup, in order of orange, yellow, and green:

Behind the Cut, a List )

And that's the list. I have a stash of dusts, essences, and dream shards stockpiled away--but not as much dust as I need. Armor generally gives dusts (75/25 ratio) and weapons generally give essences (again, 75/25 ratio). Blue items are more likely to give dream shards (small or regular) and only epic pieces give abyss crystals. Donations of greens to dust are greatly appreciated, naturally.

    Yarr

So yeah. I know I haven't posted in ages, mostly because I am lazy and my life is uninteresting. However, it is nice to hear from y'all. :) Life has been good; mostly working, WoWing, and hanging out w/ the girlfriend. I will be back in California from the 24th to the 28th; hope to see some of you then!

    Frostweave Bags!
Yes, you can haz them. The mats are a little scarce and I need to use Frostweave to up my tailoring, unfortunately, so I can't provide bags mats-free (but I wll as I can). Here's what's needed for them:

    6x Bolt of Imbued Frostweave
    2x Eternium Thread

Eternium Thread is buyable at the shop, no big deal.

1 Bolt of Imbued Frostweave requires
    3x Bolt of Frostweave
    2x Infinite Dust

Dust shouldn't be too big a problem as long as I can find greens to dust--if you're not sure I have it, send along a green or two to make seure (armor preferred, weapons tend to give Essences), if you want me to make a bag. I will try to provide the dusts as I can, however.

3x Bolt of Frostweave requires 15 Frostweave Cloth.

So the total cost in mats is 90 Frostweave Cloth, 6 Infinite Dust, and 2 Eternium Thread, per bag. These -will- take some time, but they are 20 slot bags and if you need bag space, they're worth it.

    Chicago!
    ...

Yeah. It's been a while since I last posted (except about the car.)

I'm living in Chicago now--just arrived yesterday. Things I learned on the trip:

Driving 2000+ miles in one 30-hour stretch is exhilarating but not necesssarily -fun-.

    Moving is hard work.

I already miss everyone in California.

But I'll be happy here, I think.

    Bleh.
About 30 minutes ago I was informed by the Santa Ana PD that my car had been broken into.

The passenger-side window was smashed; my iPod and my GPS, both kept in the middle console compartment, were taken.

Fortunately, everything else of value in the car was in the trunk and those items were not taken.

This is the second time in a year that my car has been broken into.

I can't wait to get the hell out of this place.

    If you can help...
    http://shutterbox.livejournal.com/43502.html

See the above. This was linked to me by a friend of a friend. If you know anyone that can help out, please. Unfortunately Glendale is a bit out of my normal area; I'm more south.
